Interventionist Services in Arizona

Professional intervention services for Arizona families, wherever you’re located.

CONFIDENTIAL

The short answer

I provide intervention services for families in Arizona, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tucson. Based in Los Angeles, Arizona’s proximity means I can usually travel for the intervention in person, though I coordinate remotely with local support when that fits a family’s situation better.

What We Do

What is an interventionist?

Definition

An interventionist is a trained professional who helps a family plan and hold a structured conversation with a loved one who is struggling, and helps map the next step toward support.

For Arizona families, that usually means I can travel to you directly, given how close Arizona is to Los Angeles, though I’ll always confirm what makes the most sense for your specific situation before assuming anything.

Who We Serve

Close enough to travel, without treating distance as a small thing

Arizona’s proximity to Los Angeles means travel is usually straightforward when an in-person intervention is the right call. That’s a genuine practical advantage, and I don’t want to overstate it: being close by doesn’t make the conversation itself any less serious, or the planning any less thorough.

When a family in Arizona calls me, I go through the same detailed planning process I would with any family, regardless of how far I’m traveling.

Confidentiality

Planning with your privacy in mind

Privacy is central to how I work, regardless of distance. I understand that visibility and reputation can weigh on a family’s decision to seek help.

Every conversation with me is confidential, and I plan each step, including travel, with your family’s privacy in mind.

The Process

Two approaches, matched to your family

I use the Johnson Model and the Invitational Model. One is more direct, the other invites the person in from the start.

I’ll help you choose the approach most likely to keep the door to help open.

Why Us

Why families and clinicians choose to work with me

CADC-III

Credentialed

I hold the Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor III credential (Sober College), one of the highest-level counseling credentials in California.

CCMI-M

Intervention-specific

I also hold the Certified Case Manager Interventionist credential (Breining Institute), the dedicated intervention-methodology credential. The strongest practitioners hold both.

2 Models

Matched to your family

I work in both the Johnson Model and the Invitational Model, and recommend the one that actually fits your family’s situation.

Reach

Based in Los Angeles, close by for Arizona families

I’m a Los Angeles-based interventionist, and Arizona’s proximity means I can usually make in-person travel work for families in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tucson, and the surrounding area.

Lifestyle Interventions is a Los Angeles intervention and recovery advisory practice I founded. I don’t operate a treatment facility, and I don’t take referral fees.

Even with the shorter distance, I coordinate every family member into a single, calm plan, whether everyone is in one place or spread across the state.

Who I Help

Who I help

I work with families facing substance use, alcohol concerns, and mental health struggles, among other situations.

The right approach depends on the person and the family, not on a single template.

What to Expect

What to Expect When You Call

The first call is a confidential conversation about what’s happening in your family and what your options look like, including cost, before you decide anything.

For families, I’ll ask about the situation, the person, the history, and what has been tried. By the end of the call, you’ll have a clear sense of whether working together is the right fit, and what that would actually look like.

For clinicians, I’ll ask about the patient, the family system, and the clinical context. I’ll tell you honestly whether an intervention is what the situation needs, or whether something else is more appropriate.

If someone you love is in immediate danger, call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or your local emergency services.

Frequently Asked

Frequently asked questions

Will you travel to Arizona in person?

Usually, yes. Arizona’s proximity to Los Angeles makes in-person travel straightforward in most cases, though I’ll confirm what fits your specific timeline and situation.

Does being close by change how the planning process works?

No. I go through the same detailed planning conversation with every family, regardless of distance. Proximity affects logistics, not the thoroughness of the process.

What happens after the intervention if my loved one agrees to treatment?

I help coordinate placement with a treatment provider, whether that’s in Arizona, in California, or wherever makes the most sense for the person’s situation.

Do you take a fee for referring to a treatment center?

No. I recommend placement based on fit, not on any financial arrangement.

Is an intervention only for addiction?

No. An intervention can address mental health concerns as well as substance use, with the approach chosen to fit the situation.

Can you help if our family is spread across multiple cities in Arizona?

Yes. I coordinate family members wherever they are into one calm, shared plan.
