INTERVENTION SERVICES | TEXAS
Interventionist Services in Texas
Professional intervention services for Texas families, wherever you’re located.
CONFIDENTIAL
The short answer
I provide intervention services for families in Texas, including Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. Based in Los Angeles, I travel to Texas for the intervention itself, or coordinate the process remotely with local support, depending on what your family’s situation calls for.
What We Do
What is an interventionist?
Definition
An interventionist is a trained professional who helps a family plan and hold a structured conversation with a loved one who is struggling, and helps map the next step toward support.
For Texas families, that includes deciding together whether I travel to you or coordinate the process remotely with a trusted local team handling the in-person parts, and staying involved through treatment placement either way.

Who We Serve
Helping families outside Los Angeles take the first step
I’m based in Los Angeles, but a lot of the families I work with aren’t. When a family in Texas calls me, the first conversation is the same one I’d have with a family down the street: what’s happening, who’s involved, and what your loved one is likely to do when approached.
From there, I’ll tell you honestly whether traveling to Texas makes sense for your situation or whether coordinating the process remotely is the better fit. That decision depends on your timeline and what’s actually happening, not a fixed rule.
Confidentiality
Planning with your privacy in mind
Privacy is central to how I work, regardless of distance. I understand that visibility and reputation can weigh on a family’s decision to seek help.
Every conversation with me is confidential, and I plan each step, including travel logistics if that’s the right approach, with your family’s privacy in mind.

The Process
Two approaches, matched to your family
I use the Johnson Model and the Invitational Model. One is more direct, the other invites the person in from the start.
I’ll help you choose the approach most likely to keep the door to help open, wherever your family is located.

Why Us
Why families and clinicians choose to work with me
CADC-III
Credentialed
I hold the Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor III credential (Sober College), one of the highest-level counseling credentials in California.
CCMI-M
Intervention-specific
I also hold the Certified Case Manager Interventionist credential (Breining Institute), the dedicated intervention-methodology credential. The strongest practitioners hold both.
2 Models
Matched to your family
I work in both the Johnson Model and the Invitational Model, and recommend the one that actually fits your family’s situation, whether I’m traveling to you or coordinating remotely.

Reach
Based in Los Angeles, serving families across Texas
I’m a Los Angeles-based interventionist, and I work with families across Texas, including Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio.
Lifestyle Interventions is a Los Angeles intervention and recovery advisory practice I founded. I don’t operate a treatment facility, and I don’t take referral fees.
Texas families aren’t always in one place, and neither am I when the situation calls for travel. I coordinate everyone, wherever they are, into a single, calm plan, so distance doesn’t become another obstacle.
Who I Help
Who I help
I work with families facing substance use, alcohol concerns, and mental health struggles, among other situations.
The right approach depends on the person and the family, not on a single template, and not on geography.

What to Expect
What to Expect When You Call
The first call is a confidential conversation about what’s happening in your family and what your options look like, including cost and whether travel makes sense, before you decide anything.
For families, I’ll ask about the situation, the person, the history, and what has been tried. By the end of the call, you’ll have a clear sense of whether working together is the right fit, and what that would actually look like logistically.
For clinicians, I’ll ask about the patient, the family system, and the clinical context. I’ll tell you honestly whether an intervention is what the situation needs, or whether something else is more appropriate.
If someone you love is in immediate danger, call 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or your local emergency services.

Frequently Asked
Frequently asked questions
Do you have to be physically present in Texas for the intervention to work?
Not always. I’ve coordinated interventions remotely with a trusted local team handling the in-person parts. When I do travel, I plan around your timeline, not the other way around.
How is a long-distance intervention different from a local one?
The planning and preparation work the same way. The difference is mostly logistical: how we handle timing, who’s physically in the room, and how treatment placement gets coordinated afterward.
What happens after the intervention if my loved one agrees to treatment?
I help coordinate placement with a treatment provider, whether that’s in Texas, in California, or wherever makes the most sense for the person’s situation.
Do you take a fee for referring to a treatment center?
No. I recommend placement based on fit, not on any financial arrangement.
Is an intervention only for addiction?
No. An intervention can address mental health concerns as well as substance use, with the approach chosen to fit the situation.
Can you help if our family is spread across multiple states?
Yes. I coordinate family members wherever they are into one calm, shared plan, whether that means everyone traveling to one location or a structured remote-coordination approach.
